Churches and Mosques

The church takes on many important tasks in today’s Germany. Kindergartens and drug counseling are just a few of the ways it contributes. When it comes to belief, Germany is a classically “split” society. That is, half of its Christians are Protestant, the other half Catholic. The third largest body of worshippers are the Muslims, and around three million people in Germany pray to Allah. The different religions co-exist peacefully for the most part. Conflicts are expressed verbally and in a reasonable fashion.
